New Library Books for Milltimber

Miss Dow put Milltimber School forward in the summer of last year to win book tokens for our two libraries. We were delighted to be told that our school was chosen out of 30,000 other schools and we were awarded £2,500.00 of National Book Tokens. All pupils were asked who their favourite authors were and what types of books they liked to read. Mrs Shearer and Ms Farquharson then visited Waterstones Book Store last week with the pupils ideas and suggestions. 448 books for the two libraries were purchased!!!!

Fantastic Books We Are All Delighted Wonderful New Books

The children are thrilled with the selection and can’t wait to start reading them.

Cam was telling me about this. He is delighted, apparently he asked for Enid Blyton and David Attenborough. Hurrah for Miss Dow!

A big thank you to Miss Dow for submitting Milltimber school and getting all these new books for the libraries! I’m sure the children will be encouraged to read the books, particularly as they were involved in choosing them. Good job!
